Took a couple of shots over the weekend at the Margate kite festival. There were a couple of pretty cool kites up which was nice to see. Here are two of my better shots.
I personally thought the Turner contemporary was a load of rubbish, but I took a couple of pics anyway.
It’s very rare that I get to take a photo of myself so when I visited the Turner contemporary museum over the weekend (which was rubbish by the way) I took a sneaky snap of myself in their ‘infinity’ mirror. Came out quite well, I think its my new self image for the net in the making.
I’d love to be skilled enough to not need Photoshop but since I’m not I may as well prove that Photoshop can really make an image, below I’m showing my “correct” image which I’ve retouched nicely. The original which is all dull and faded and a couple of random photos which I’ve messed around with trying to re-create popular effects… the absolute bottom one is lo-mo for instance.
Re-touched nicely - I like this
The dull original for comparison
And some i’ve tinkered with to various results
Took this shot on my way back from Lanzarote on my camera phone. Shame I didn’t have my SLR but that’s the way it goes, still when I applied some effects it looks pretty cool I think.
Herne Bay clock tower is pretty cool. I applied some effects to boost the contrast and make it a bit more dramatic.
Kinda cool up close photo of some railings in Canterbury, with my normal vintage style effect applied.
Shot in my own backyard, couldn’t resist messing around with the colours…
